home sweet home

we arrived home late wednesday night, after a bit of a delay after we landed in san diego. my parents were there to meet us and hear all about our trip on the ride home. when we got back home, our furry daughter was there to greet us with lots of "meows" and of course rushed to her food plate expecting a treat after having been left "alone" for 8 days. (she really wasn't alone...in fact she had daily visits, scratches, food and love from one of our neighbors and probably was quite spoiled!)

since we're sharing with you the types of welcomes we received when we got home, i thought i'd also share with you the welcome that we got when we arrived at our hotel, the moana surfrider, in waikiki last weekend. tim received a strand of kukui nuts and i received a beautiful lei. unfortunately i wasn't thinking and didn't get a picture of us wearing them, but did think to snap a photo of the lei before we checked out on wednesday after a wonderful stay!
